Who is the Course For?
Being a successful wedding photographer is not just about taking good photographs, that is just one part of it. If you are struggling with the admin and business side of your photography, or if you are developing your business and want to make sure you are on the right track, then we can help you. This course is mainly theory based, but rather than just doing an online course, we want to do this session face to face, be in the room with like minded people, so you can bounce ideas, ask questions and ensure you are getting the information directly linked to you and your business. This course is also ideal for those photographers who have already photographed a few weddings, but want to improve their ability and business acumen.
Meet Your Tutors

John McCulloch
John started Studio 900 Photography 25 years ago, he is passionate about wedding photography and has shot over 1000 weddings. A trusted, experienced professional who knows how to capture all the special moments of a wedding. His aim: to create beautiful and creative images, in his own recognisable style, that bring back all the love and emotions shared between everybody on the wedding day. Over the years, John has tutored and supported many aspiring wedding photographers, guiding them through the industry and building their skills and knowledge, these photographers are now successful in their own right due to the tutoring by John.

Jess Middleton – BA (Hons), PGCE, MA
Jess, a professional photographer for over 12 years, graduated from the University of Chester in 2021 with a Masters in Fine Art at Distinction Level, and back in 2011 with a BA (Hons) in Photography. It was during this degree that Jess joined Studio 900 in 2010 on a university work placement and has remained part of the team since, trained by John in the art of wedding photography. Over the last 8 years she has been a senior lecturer in Photography at Wirral Met, passing on her experience and knowledge in photography to the next generation of creative people.
