As it happens 25 years ago I was just like you. I was a nurse in then RAF and needed a major career change. I made the bold move and left paid employment as I was frustrated and controlled.

My life wasn’t my own. I fulfilled my role to the best of my ability but most of my life was spent at work in a job I didn’t enjoy.

To be in control of my own destiny and take time off when I wanted was paramount. Now I spend most days doing things I enjoy and earn substantially more than I ever did.

In contrast to most people, I entered the industry from a business angle rather than the creative side.  Either way, most people will be more skilled in one or the other.

Investing heavily,  I purchased a large high street property and converted it to a photography studio.  I worked closely with a wedding photography for 12 months, for free, to develop my business.

Well, I got it right. In my 12th year in business, I opened a second studio with full time staff and a thriving enterprise. I have now photographed over 1000 weddings.
